A fun evening for all ages, which is likely to get bit scarier as the evening gets darker! Welcome Halloween with a bang this year with a fun evening adventure in Skypark! Why not stay over in Carlingford and make a Staycation out of it! If you’d like to add some fun activities during the day, our sister company Carlingford Adventure is running an Autumn Adventure Camp for kids and families from 25th October to 5th November with fun adventures taking place each day.
How does the event work?
Skypark After Dark is comprised of 10 adventure activities on a loop around Skypark. When people turn up at their previously booked time slot, they will be signed in and directed around activities just in their own group. There is a pre-determined loop but you can decide which order you want to do activities in. We expect a small amount of queueing at popular activities but queues should move quickly. You will receive a link to a map online showing the activities beforehand but there will also be fliers available on the night if required.
Is this event Covid Friendly?
This is an open air event and we are blessed with lots of fresh air in Carlingford! Our staff will wear masks if they are in close proximity to customers, showing them how to do activities etc. We wont be grouping people, you are fine to tour the park in your own group. We will have hygiene stations set up at each activity which necessitates the sharing of equipment and customers will be encouraged to clean equipment before using it.
Is there a family pass?
There is no family pass available, bookings are on a per person basis.
How long does the event last?
Event time is approx. 1.5hr – 2hrs. Last time slot is 8.30pm and the park closes at 10pm.
What should I wear?
This is an Autumn event so we advise bringing warm clothes and plenty of layers that you can add or take off. Comfy clothes like tracksuits or leggings are always best for outdoor activities. We advise old runners or boots for your feet as the ground may be wet and could be a little muddy in places.
Will the event go ahead in bad weather?
This is Ireland so yes the event will proceed in bad weather unless we are forced to close due to very stormy conditions. We advise preparing for the worst by bringing warm clothes, a raincoat and an umbrella. A change of clothes is always a good idea to cover all eventualities. In the event of forced closure you will be offered an alternative date / time or a refund. We have included activities that are still enjoyable even in bad weather!
Can I get a refund or change my date after booking?
No refunds are available and unfortunately we are unable to move your booking date as we have a limited number of days and time slots to run this event. Moving your booking fills up another slot that others wont be able to use.
Can I expect to be scared at this event? Is it suitable for young kids?
This is not a scare event, it is an evening adventure activities event. We will have Halloween decorations and plenty of spooky characters roaming around Sypark, so you can expect plenty of craic and a few jumpy moments thrown in, but no heavy scary stuff and is suitable for all ages.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash and you clean up after them!
Do you have accommodation?
Our sister company Carlingford Adventure have private en-suite bunk rooms that can be booked in advance and cater for various family and group sizes.
Can I do the Aerial Adventure Course / other activities?
Our aerial adventure course is closed in the evenings but will be open each day during mid-term from 23rd October to 7th November. Its an ideal half day activity for ages 9+ and other individual activities can also be booked such as Skypark Junior (5 – 8yrs) & rock wall. [Check out details here].
What facilities/refreshments/parking is available?
Toilet and first aid facilities are available, along with café facilities (coffee/tea/snacks/cold drinks/Halloween treats). We also have a large marquee that can be used for eating / resting / warming up! We have lots of free parking available and will have a car park attendant on duty.
